Yes, there is a transportation god!

We have a new ferry – well she is not really new – born in 1966, in Canada.

BUT she is clean, sturdy, safe AND has many clean bathrooms!!!!, for now.

She came to us from Canada and is making the Suva-Taveuni run twice a week at a reasonable price and she stops in Koro and Savusavu on the way.  This is a very nice alternative to airfares and you also get to take more than 15kg luggage. We are still working on the departure times which seem a bit odd, but were put in place to “see more of Fiji”, so bear with us. Sorry there is no web site yet, so if you want to book, Taveuni booking agent telephone number is (679) 9351 566. Of course if you are staying with us we can book it for you.

Here are the details:

ETD Suva every                       Monday and Thursday at                           18:00 ish

ETA Taveuni every                Tuesday and Friday between                   10:30 ish

ETD Taveuni every                Tuesday and Friday at                                  14:00 ish

ETA Suva every                      Wednesday and Saturday between          06:30 ish

The departure days and times have been changing from week to week, so

Rates for Adults, one way:

Economy F$65.00                                                                                    Economy cabin for  F$240.00

First Class F$70.00                                                                                  First Class cabin for 2  F$450.00

She also has a freezer and fridge which means that we are finally having bacon and margarine and butter again!!!! well if  MH would order any that is….
