Updates on Ferries

Princess

OK guys, one more time: The suilven no longer goes to TAveuni, the SOFE also no longer goes anywhere actually right now:-) So, if you want to come by ferry, take the Lomaiviti Princess with Goundar Shipping. She leaves Suva every Monday and Friday night at 18:00h, check in is 16:00h. first class ticket is 95 Fiji Dollar (I recommend forst class vs economy). You can get ticket on the boat, but since it is the only ferry, when there are holdays and vacation time, DO BOOK IN ADVANCE. You then have to let us know and we can get the ticket for you or you will have to get it from the Walu Bay office (you will have to pay for it and they do not accept credit cards). You get into Taveuni the next day. Do not hold me to a time…..

Do take: a jacket it can be really cold, warm or normal…., water non greesy food if that’s what you want. You can rent a mattress for 20.00 and sleep really well, there is also a very well stocked restaurant , again, a bit too greesy for me, but……also you can take a shower if you want ehich is a really nice thing after running around in Suva…..so bring towels etc in your carry on.

She leaves Taveuni every Sunday at 10:00h check in 08:00 am and Tuesday at 14:00h check in at noon. Now, she does also go to Rabi occassionally so the times can be off by several hours.:-)

Have a good journey! we shall see you at the wharf!
