All roads may lead to Rome but there is no road leading to Dolphin Bay Divers Retreat. Trust us, even though your map might say otherwise, there is no road, so renting an SUV is only going to get you to Buca Bay/Natuvu on Vanua Levu or to Taveuni.
Dolphin Bay Divers Retreat is located on the southeastern side of Vanua Levu, Fiji’s second largest island and the resort is only accessible by boat. While this may make it slightly more difficult to reach us, it does insure that your stay will be unique, adventurous and unforgettable!
The best way to get to us from Suva or Nadi is to fly to Taveuni, where we will pick you up and bring you across by boat. Fiji Airways has several daily flights. Northern Air in Suva is an option also. Most planes take 15 Kg luggage only, so pack light! You can also try coming over on Island Hoppers, who may allow you more luggage weight. This is a new service but they only leave from Nadi.
To get to us from Savusavu, take the bus or hire a taxi to Natuvu, at the end of the Hibiscus Highway, and connect to one of the daily small ferries to Taveuni or we can pick you up from in Natuvu (about 30 minutes) by boat.
Coming by Ferry: The Lomaiviti Princess leaves Suva twice a week for Taveuni. Tickets and reservations can be arranged through the Savusavu Ticketing Office: Tel: +679 330-1035 or +679 330-1020; Mobile: +679 777-5462 (Transport Manager); Fax: +679 330-1045 or Email: email@example.com
